The first animation is of the Vinten Mk III Pan and tilt head. This shows clearly the operation of the cams and risers. The design of the head ensures that the camera remains in balance at any point of the tilt, without the head needing to be locked off.
The next animation shows the pan and tilt head with an EMI 203 camera mounted. As before, the purpose is to show the Vinten cams and risers, but also to show how the camera moves: it is not a “straight” pan up and down. This animation only shows the camera panning down and then back to horizontal.
