Ah, but they don’t sell at that price. That script has been round a few times without selling, a more accurate price would be around a quarter of that amount.

Don’t be mislead by the asking price of £299. If you look at completed sales, you’ll see that the script for “Remembrance Of The Daleks” Ep1 went for £45.44. Another original Dr Who script went for £149.99 recently, but that was signed by Mark Bonnar and sold in an eBay Christmas children’s cancer charity auction. And only one bid was made, so presumably that was the stated starting price. All this makes it hard to know what the same item might fetch if auctioned again in an ordinary sale. Under £50, I’d think.
