I recall one visit our induction group made was to Sadlers Wells where an OB  unit was rehearsing Britten’s  “Peter Grimes”. Watching VT being spliced was remarkable in that a 90 minute reel, once cut, cost £90. We were on £10 a week! How much did your last 32 gig memory card cost you? — a couple of pounds.

The worst thing about the Langham week was the YMCA and their crap  breakfasts. So the best thing was the coffee trolley.
