Very difficult to tell from the pics on the web site – but are they BBC studios?

Not sure about Bert Wilkins, but there was a firm I used for film processing many years ago who returned the negs in these type of folders. I would imagine he must have been a sparks, at a guess, and I’m desperately trying to remember if that was the surname of one of our sparks (Bert) who worked on the road with the first PSC crews out go Lime Grove, but I don’t think so. I look forward to further enlightenment.

The Lime Grove ‘Berts’ were Bert Freakley and Bert Kench, I think.
Michael Healy

An Internet search brings up this about Bert:
“… News: Bert Wilkins 1925 ~ 2016
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Bert Wilkins just short of his 91st birthday.
Bert was a Lighting Director at London Weekend Television, rising to become Head of Lighting with the company, and was also a past Chairman of the STLD …”

Was he a relation of Cyril at the BBC? Something at the back of my mind says Cyril had a relation in the industry.

BBC TV Sound Supervisor Les Wilkins was Cyril’s brother.
Dave Mundy
So was he any relation to the TVC Wilkins, Les (Sound) and his brother Cyril (lighting)?
