The attached still of an OB cameraman was part of a late 1960s BBC Appointments Department leaflet.
Although the leaflet says that technical appointments were dealt with by Engineering Recruitment Department, they did include this shot for illustration of the type of technical job available.
What is the identity of the operator? Lovely hardware on display!

Peter Neill
It looks to me like Martin Mathewson. He was on my TO course, but went straight to OBs. In 1989 he joined Newsroom South East as a PSC Cameraman. Very soon after that he resigned and took the same job on contract (which meant that he was based at home and didn’t have to drive to Elstree to start each day). He left around 2000 or so.
