Is there anyone you know in this rather fine photo?

Cliff White

Unmistakably, third from the right, smoking his ‘trade-mark’ pipe, the great Jack Belasco.

Mike Giles

How right ~ Jolly Julius Jack Belasco, as I remember him being fondly referred to! One of the BBC’s more enlightened characters, particularly for the era ~ the type you would have gone through hell and high water for.

Malcolm Walker

Faces recognised are:
Arthur Reed cameraman who is standing behind the camera centre and behind him the electronic maintenance wizard E. R. Barnes.

Both of these chaps moved North with MCR 11 later that year.

Alec Bray

Arthur Reed, I’m sure,  spent time as Senior Cameraman on a TVC Studio crew round about 1964-ish.

Peter Cook

To the right of the middle camera, the person with the patterned jumper is Duncan Anderson.

Mike Jordan

Ron Chown in the grey suit behind the RHS camera. The vehicle was PTA1 (Powered Transmitter Aerial) KGA 565 and PTA2 was KGA 566.  I worked on that in the early 1970s.  It had a big generator inside capable of powering the scanner and an opening side where we jokingly served tea!
