Mike Hudson recently sent me this photo which he thinks must date from the early 1970s. It shows the Production team in a Production versus Young Generation footy match.

Wow, what a laugh, what a memory jogger. I still have my copy of that photo, just love the hair.
It was actually Ron Green who organised the game, it was at Motspur Park, the BBC Club Ground, we lost something like 32 – 1 and that one was only a consolation goal that the Young Generation let Ron score! My God they were fit, but please don’t take that wrongly !I’m well thanks, and have now officially retired. My last gig was the Olympics in Rio, a great way to bow out I thought, one last grand hoorah. I am now doing the typical retired thing of finding too many things to do and wondering how I ever found time to go to work.

Didn’t the YG include one lad who’d trained as a pro footballer?
John Howell
Now that’s sorted, is Mike going to post the team photo of Young Generation?

Not a team photo but lots of knees up! Photo taken in Golders Green Hippodrome 1969 – not much light and a slow film ..sorry.
Mike Hudson on the right by Doug Puddifoot on the camera. Mike Cager foreground left.
Lots more pictures from that day taken. Big Red Indian (oops! Native American I mean) production number done on the previous day starring Paul Jones.
