About 1980 the BBC first got into the factory method of making quiz shows with Going for Gold, compered by Henry Kelly. A a semi-permanent studio set was built at Elstree, and up to four were made in a day. Common enough stuff these days, but new then.
These unlikely panellists are the crew – Mike, Howard Michaels, Brian Holloway & Graham Reed

Mike says: “John Taylor, on cameras – early 70’s. Anyone remember the time when, having been teased about looking so young and innocent, he came into work in full, convincing drag? This pic was taken at one of my parties about 1972. He left a year or two later (The BBC that is, not my party). Anyone know what became of him?”
Chris Glass. Taken on a P.S.C. lighting course in 1988
Tony Abbey and Marconi Mk 3, early 60’s – Mike has more to say, but I’m not printing it – I suppose we can’t all get on all the time! Anyone seen anything of Tony?
