Camera Work and Grandstand

For the younger viewers, this is how captions were done before the age of caption generators. Each letter was typeset by someone individually. You haven’t lived until you’ve spent a large part of Saturday afternoon putting together “Bruce Forsyth and The Generation Game” by cutting and pasting it together letter by letter in the office because of a programme change.

This one is included because when Bing Crosby visited Grandstand in Studio E Lime Grove, I was the cameraman who pointed at him. This pic was in the same group as the one above
