Multi-Coloured Swap Shop

Brian Dale

One of my Covid projects has been scanning thousands of 35mm colour slides.

Here are some pics taken on a “Multi-Coloured Swap Shop” in (I think TC7) back in the 1980s.

Does anyone recognise themselves or anyone else?

We’ve been looking on YouTube at the opening titles of “Swap Shop” – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzvI4p6ncqk –.
It’s a family thing as my wife briefly features (white tee shirt) and my younger son has been asking the equivalent of “What did you do in the war, daddy?”

I’ve played the video a few times in the last couple of days for various reasons, and I sort of  find that the BBCtv colour starting shot makes me feel quite proud that I was there – though I had moved to Pres by the time “Swap Shop” started.

I’ve attached a B&W picture from Swap Shop the week before I got married (and the day after my Stag Night!)
