[Tech1] Guide dogs

Some nice TV commercials looking for donations to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
I'm much in favour of supporting them.

But I had an unsavoury thought.
With many Councils requiring owners to clear up after their doggies, 
what about totally blind people
who probably cannot see where their animal has performed. Do they drop 
to their knees and grope
around on the ground?
