Was listening to R4 Chain Reaction today - Harry Hill interviewing Tin
Vine - obviously pals.

Were discussing props, and Vine said (as I remember it) :-

"I had a hat made in the shape of a microphone. Wear it on stage, and tap
it. Ask the audience if the mic is on."
