Stubbs? That will be me. Sue, I’m sure you have heard the story of how that night unfolded but did Geoff tell you that BBC One was showing a film as I was driving back in and it had a few funerals in it? Although we didn’t know the extent of the tragedy unfolding in Paris, Geoff elected to spool through the next funeral as he went to each news report. I’m not sure what viewers made of characters disappearing without explanation but the film was significantly shorter as a result!

Geoff’s call was absolutely right in retrospect - he didn’t need me really but two heads as they say...
