[Pres] Geoff Howard

I really don't know what to add, but Geoff certainly brought kindness and
professionalism to all he did.  There must be countless trainee network
directors whom he supported and guided, along with all those who were lucky
to share their working environment with him.

Few of you probably remember that Geoff, Dave Webber, Keith deCoene and I
were known as the PICSies, and had the dubious honour of spending many
weeks down in Guildford testing the first release of PICS, the first
computerised scheduling system for Pres.  Every day he drove a hire car and
collected Dave and me and took us down to Basys for testing.  He helped
make the frustrations and boredom (and occasional joy) of testing a lot
more bearable.  We were all very grateful to him for keeping us going with
his stoic good humour in the face of adversity.

It's been upsetting and heartening to hear similar sentiments from so many
others over the weekend.
