Oh that's so sad - thanks for letting us know.
Very fond memories of Geoff in NC1 - especially when I first started around the time of Diana's death in 1997.
Such a pro - and a truly lovely man.

Good morning all.

I write bearing sad news.

Sue Howard (neé Bird) has been in touch to let us know that Geoff Howard passed away yesterday morning at 11.30 am (Sydney time).  Geoff had been on a complicated medical journey over the past few years and died in his relatively new home at the Belrose Country Club from a stroke whilst waiting for a taxi to take him to dialysis.  No funeral date has yet been set.

We have lost a good friend and one of the best voices to ever grace BBC output.  A true loss.
