Gordon Waters |   |   | Are there any old-timers still around? I am Gordon Waters . I joined TV at AP on February 28th 1938 . In the early days I worked on "sound floor" and " vision mixing "up to September 1939 . I was at Radio Olympia on that fateful day when war broke out . After the war I returned to AP and was on "racks" with Jock Strathairn until May 1949 when I was promoted to S.Tel. E. Telecine .I left the Corp on Sept 1952 and emigrated to Canada and joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. I eventually became the Chief Engineer of The Studio Systems Group , roughly equivalent to the P and I dept I retired in March 1977 and am now living in Brockville Ontario Canada.
