In BBC tech-ops it’s always been thought that the BBC’s first studio camerawoman was Barbara Franc, in 1974. \u00a0After many years, it turns out that this was wrong.<\/p>\n

Barbara (Bimbi) Harris, who died in 2013 aged 95, was actually the first, as proven by this article, probably from around 1946 –<\/p>\n
