They look very impressive in the shop, but I&#8217;ve learned that this may not transfer into total satisfaction when viewing a wider variety of programmes like one does at home.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Terry Meadowcroft<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>I bought an LG 55&#8242; OLED TV last April (2016), and I&#8217;m still just as delighted by it. <\/p>\n<p>The only downsides: <\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:36pt;margin-top:auto;\">1. &nbsp;The pictures, especially in UHD, are stunning and encourage watching the TV too much! <\/P><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:36pt;margin-top:auto;\">2. &nbsp;Lesser quality pictures transmitted are made more clearly wanting, just as great sound systems show up clearly sound sources which is of poor quality. <\/P> <\/p>\n<p>Changing to OLED picture with the blackest of blacks, and accurate picture quality, reminds me of when I first heard Quad electrostatic speakers in 1964! <\/p>\n<p>Also, I know we 3D TV viewers are regarded as strange, but the 3D pictures on this TV are the most comfortable to watch, and the most exciting, I have ever seen. The glasses are passive and cheap (around \u00a31 to \u00a32), in&nbsp; contrast to those of my retired Panny, at \u00a3100 a pair, and are light to wear. It is worth considering 3D if only to really enjoy the films presented by David Attenborough. Now there is a man who started making radio programs using an EMI &#8216;L&#8217; reel to reel portable recorder, and has always had a very open mind, and is very involved in 3D and surround sound productions, all of them very much worth watching.<\/p>\n<p>OLED pictures are beautiful given good source material, and I am constantly thrilled by my OLED set.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Footer --><\/p>\n<h1>&nbsp;<\/h1>\n<p class=\"western\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1061\" src=\"http:\/\/tech-ops.co.uk\/next\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/ianfootersmall-300x104.jpg\" alt=\"ianfootersmall\" width=\"300\" height=\"104\" srcset=\"http:\/\/tech-ops.co.uk\/next\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/ianfootersmall-300x104.jpg 300w, http:\/\/tech-ops.co.uk\/next\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/ianfootersmall.jpg 348w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!-- END Footer --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dave Plowman Anyone got one and can comment on it in general use?
