It seems that The London Studios of ITV are facing the same fate as TVC: and irony of ironies, ITV wants to use the three remaining studios at TVC !<\/p>\n

I can confirm that the re-built HQ will have no traditional studios. In a note to staff today (21 Feb 2017) the company said: "…so we\u2019re proposing to close TLS [The London Studios] and use studio capacity in the external market to meet our future business needs…<\/em>" It seems there will be some modest capacity for on-the-sofa daytime programmes, but nothing more. <\/p>\n

Only three studios at W12, with TC1 and TC3 the only ones likely to be used by ITV (TC2 is less than 3,000 ft\u00b2). Now that Fountain has shut, ITV may struggle to find space within the M25, especially on Saturday nights at the moment…<\/p>\n

I understand (i.e. I’m probably misinformed) that Fountain has only been mothballed and the developers haven’t got planning consent so it could be brought back into play if there was a market. <\/p>\n

It seems that Lambeth want at least part of the South Bank site for the approach to the proposed Garden Bridge. Perhaps to park up that other folly – all the broken Boris buses.<\/p>\n
