For those who didn\u2019t know, an art group had their latest exhibition in TVC Scenery Block August 2015:<\/p>\n

I went along 25th<\/sup> August 2015 and was totally absorbed.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was, I must admit, rather \u201codd\u201d but was held in the Scenery Block (built 1960s) – entry via the EBX building through the Multi Storey Car Park  (see later).<\/p>\n

I spent over two hours wandering around a lot of bits that were open (courtesy of Stanhope as a marketing\/\u201dsupport us please\u201d ploy?)<\/p>\n

I can only say that it was on a par with several of my BBC shows-  rigging in totally empty spooky places (apart from distant echoing music from the film (yes real film on Bell and Howell projectors) sound tracks. I can only compare it with wandering around totally alone in an empty Westminster Abbey (1100s), standing in an empty Westminster Hall (1000s), checking monitors in the empty Giza great Pyramid (c 2500BC) and also the amphitheatre under The Guildhall.<\/p>\n

They had built very big (expensive\/time consuming) theatre spaces in the main floor but the paint frames were open as were lots of storage areas with old BBC Graffiti and loads of old redundant equipment and cabling and of course all the pipes for the studio air-conditioning water supplies.<\/p>\n

It was just SO MOVING. Over 80 photos taken and attendant people put up no objections and even chatted.<\/p>\n

Amazing view out of broken window\/torn plastic screen across the remains of the Ring Road into the hole that was TC 4 and the back of the doughnut looking like a huge animal with it\u2019s skin torn off exposing it\u2019s innards.<\/p>\n

My daughter has sent me this view on the roof of the TVC Multi-storey Car Park where she is out with friends. It gets quite busy, apparently!<\/p>\n
