I was working on "The Spy Who Loved Me" – Roger Moore’s third outing as 007.<\/p>\n

There was often a need for some background action, so any crew who could be spared for the shot were press-ganged. I had to chase a pretty girl along the beach – she was the wife of the focus puller, and well worth chasing! On the third take, I slipped and sent a shower of sand over someone.<\/p>\n

My boss enquired as to how long had I been the ‘beach bully’!<\/p>\n

On those occasions, to keep everything right, we were handed \u00a320, but there was an understanding that it was put behind the bar of our hotel, so the rest of the crew who could never take part could have a drink.<\/p>\n

Various unidentifiable bits of me have been seen in a couple of the Bonds!<\/p>\n

On another film I was asked to do a back of head shot in bed with the lead actress, as they needed a short hairstyle – I fitted the bill, but refused because I knew I couldn’t stand the subsequent ragging from the sparks and scene boys!<\/p>\n
