It’s certainly me (just look at dark hair!) but I have no recollection of it or which show it might have been on although the set looks somewhat LE. Does anyone recognise the set?<\/p>\n

I was on Crew 14 as DO1 from September 9 1967 to December 31 1967 having finished a stint in Pres B. I checked my diary and we did no jobs in TC7 during that period.<\/p>\n

Crew 14 did the following in TC2 :- <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

I can’t remember anything about \u201cEuropa\u201d except that it was very boring – hence the crewing down!<\/p>\n

Definitely TC7. The studio was first equipped with Marconi Mk IV 4\u00bd\u201d IOs from when it opened in mid-1965 and retained them until it was colorized about three years later. It, and TC6 had those Marconi Mk.VIIs to start with, later replaced by EMI2001s.<\/p>\n

Chris Eames<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I definitely remember the lights – they were the forerunner to the double ended lights eventually used throughout the BBC. The problem with these was that they tried to use one bulb to make both a hard and a soft source. The net result was they were no good as either! I seem remember various LDs ranting about them. I suppose the plus is that they learned from the mistake, and their successors were much better.<\/p>\n
