I seem to recall that Presentation (NC?) used to cross-fade from the globe symbol to the start of Start Trek (on TK).<\/p>\n

That, at the time, was really cool ….<\/p>\n

I remember long ago when BBC Sport programmes were introduced pictorially by a globe surrounded by about 6 multicoloured satellites.<\/p>\n

The satellites orbited the globe representing the Earth. <\/p>\n

For a short time the globe rotated the wrong way so that the sun would have risen in the west and set in the east.<\/p>\n

The mistake was never mentioned anywhere but I presume that some viewer somewhere noticed the basic error and the Earth was made to spin in the right direction.<\/p>\n

I still have the golf umbrella with the globe and satellites printed on it.<\/p>\n
