The course wasn\u2019t, if I recall correctly, an STO course. It was, I believe, a newly (re)named \u201cTO\u201d course, being the Tech Ops version of the course following the \u2018A\u2019 course. The engineers followed the \u2018A\u2019 course with the \u2018B\u2019 course (which subsequently led to the \u2018C\u2019 course!!!) and at that time Tech Ops followed the \u2018A\u2019 course some two years later with a \u2018TO\u2019 course (which would lead eventually to the \u2018STO\u2019 course.) The STO course was boarded, but the TO course was mandatory.
